Manan Reviews Chapter 5: SHERNI

                                   Manan Reviews Chapter 5: SHERNI

A review after so many days! Actually I had was watching a few web series like KOTA FACTORY (YOUTUBE),LOKI (DISNEY+ HOTSTAR), THE FAMILY MAN S1 AND S2 (AMAZON PRIME VIDEO), ASPIRANTS (YOUTUBE), DEATHNOTE (NETFLIX) and some movies like INTERSTELLAR (AMAZON PRIME VIDEO) and DRIVE (NETFLIX). All of them are highly recommended except "DRIVE". It was simply horrible. And I today I just finished watching the newly released "SHERNI" and this was the perfect movie to review.

 STORY
The story is of a tigress named T 12 who is roaming in the jungles and is a danger for the cattle which are taken by the villagers  for breeding and a danger for the villagers themselves. So Vidya Balan and her Forest Department Team are trying their level best to catch her but they cannot because of the political problems, villagers' problems and their useless and "hungry for promotion and transfer" boss.                                                               The story is pretty interesting and keeps you engaged despite being a little slow. The various incidents happening like the death of villagers due to tigress, the election coming up and some people provoking the villagers to revolt resulting in complete havoc.

SCREENPLAY, DIRECTION AND ACTING

The screenplay is slow and the movie could have been a little bit smaller but overall it was good and also a good job was done on making the film engaging.

Amit Masurkar has done a good job directing this movie but at the end of the film some effort or impact was expected by Vidya Balan . Also the story is very realistically made by the director so all the Radhe type mass masala commercial film  enjoyers better stay away from this film.

Acting is excellent .Vidya Balan, Sharat Saxena, Vijay Raaz, Neeraj Kabi all the others have done a very good job. But somewhere the film does not utilize this talented cast for some reason.

POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE POINTS

Positive:- The film is good with a good direction, excellent cast good bgm and a very strong and an impactful story which keeps you engaged till the last scene and gives a very big life lesson.

Negative:- The film is slow and could have been a bit smaller. Some action was expect by Vidya Balan's character at the end and this film might not be enjoyable for the common audience.

FINAL VERDICT

The film is worth a watch for all the movie lovers. Many people might not enjoy it but giving this movie a try will be no harm and my rating for this film is 4/5
